Meet CEO Morten Strunge – one of Denmark’s most succesful serial entrepreneurs

With a well-known and respected reputation within the Danish startup environment, Morten Strunge is one of Denmark’s most successful and talented entrepreneurs.

Morten founded and grew the Danish mobile provider Onfone in 2006 to a large subscription base, which enabled him to sell Onfone to TDC in 2011 for around 300 mio. DKK. He then turned his attention to the subscription-based e-book and audiobook platform Mofibo in 2013 – a Netflix for books. To grow Mofibo even further, Morten recently sold the company to the Swedish Storytel for 100 mio. DKK but continues to stay involved as CEO.

Passions and projects

In addition to his own companies, Morten engages in other small and large-scale projects. His largest current project is Plenti, a mobile provider that he founded in collaboration with Fullrate founder Peter Mægbæk. But with his passion for online services, he is also involved in the web-shop ‘Son of a Tailor‘ that makes custom-made t-shirts as well as a new type of residential real estate business that only operates online.

Despite his young age, Morten Strunge has succesfully sold several of his companies and gained unique experience in how to grow a startup into a successful business. We have invited Morten to talk about his success as an entrepreneur in Denmark, his current strategy for Mofibo after the sale and his passion for other projects.
